The short version
This is a study aid, not the government, and not a guarantee that you will pass. Use it to practise, but always read the official handbook. If you buy the unlock, it's one payment and it's yours — no subscription.
1. What this is
British Citizenship Test: Practice is an independent study aid for the Life in the UK Test. By using it you agree to these terms.
2. We are not the government
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Home Office, GOV.UK, UK Visas and Immigration, or any government body. We are not immigration advisers and nothing here is legal or immigration advice. We cannot book your test, change your result, or influence your application.
The official test is booked at gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test.
3. No guarantee of a pass
Our questions are original works written from the official handbook. They are not the real exam questions and we do not know what the real exam questions are. Practising with us does not guarantee that you will pass. The only authoritative source of test material is the official handbook, Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents (3rd edition), and you should read it.
We work hard to be accurate and we correct mistakes as soon as we find them, but we do not warrant that every question is free of error. If you find one, please tell us.
4. Purchases
The website is free. The mobile app is free to download, with an optional one-off in-app purchase ("full unlock") that permanently unlocks the remaining chapters and features on that store account.
- It is a one-off payment, not a subscription. Nothing recurs. Nothing renews.
- You can restore it on a new device with Restore Purchase, using the same Apple or Google account.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, because they, not we, take the payment.
- Prices vary by country and may change. The price shown to you at the moment of purchase is the price you pay.
5. Your progress
Your progress is stored on your device and we do not hold a copy. If you delete the app, change device, or clear your browser data, your progress is lost and we cannot recover it. Your purchase, by contrast, can always be restored, because Apple and Google keep that record.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't scrape, bulk-copy, resell or redistribute our question bank. The questions are our original works and are protected by copyright. Use them to study — that's what they're for.
7. Third-party rights
The official handbook is Crown copyright. We do not reproduce it. References to handbook sections are made for the purpose of study and citation.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this study aid, including failing the test. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
